Finals! Examenes finales!

One thing is certain: I have until December 2nd to finalize all my drawings for my studio project. Out of the eight boards that are due that day, only one and a half are complete. I say half because the one I'm working on right now is not shaded and that takes half the time (as all architecture students know). It's nice that our drawings have to be done by hand, which brings back some memories, and we can forget about AutoCAD and such computer programs, but the real truth is that it takes way more time by hand. Sleeping at the school building is not quite as comfortable as my bed, but for the next few days it's gonna have to do.

La verdad es esta: Tengo hasta el dos de Diciembre para acabar todos mis dibujos de mi diseño. De los ocho dibujos que tengo que tener para ese dia, solamete uno y medio estan completos. Uno y medio porque en el que estoy trabajando haorita necesita sombras y todo estudiante de aquitectura bien sabe que eso toma la mitad del tiempo. Esta bien que los dibujos tengan que ser hechos a mano y podamos olvidarnos de AutoCad y programas similares, pero la veradad es que toma mas tiempo hacerlos a mano. Dormir en la escuela no es tan comodo como dormir en mi cama, pero los siguientes dias el sofa en la escuela tendra que ser suficiente.

Thanksgiving dinner. Cena de accion de gracias

Yesterday was the Thanksgiving dinner at Alkis' apartment in Volos. There was a total of ten of us at the dinner table, which is not a lot of people compared to the number of people that gather in one's home back in the states, but it was a very pleasant dinner with very delicious food. Three of our school mates did not attend the dinner due to their visit to Rome. The three apartments cooked something for the dinner, and I'm proud to say that my (and kara's) fried apples were quite delicious.

Ayer fue la cena de accion de gracias en el departamento de Alkis en Volos. Eramos diez en total, lo cual no es un gran numero de personas en una cena como esta llevada a acabo en los Estados Unidos, pero fue muy placentera con comida muy rica. Tres de nuestros compañeros no pudieron atender por el hecho de que fueron a Roma. Los tres departamentos cocinaron algo para la cena y me da mucho gustos de decir que mis (mias y de Kara) manzanas fritas estaban muy deliciosas.

A rainy day in Meteora. Un dia lluvioso en Meteora

Last week we (the class) had the opportunity to visit on of the most incredible sites (I think) in all of Greece. The only problem (if you can call it a problem) was the rain which did not cease, although some say that Meteora is more beautiful and mystical in the rain and under the effect of mist. Well here are some pictures so you can judge for yourself.

La semana pasada nosotros (la clase) tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar uno de los mas increibles lugares (yo creo) en todo Grecia. El unico problema (si es que se puede llamar problema) fue la lluvia que no paro, aunque algunos dicen que Meteora es mucho mas bonita y mistica en la lluvia y bajo el efecto de la neblina.
